I’m pretty sure it’s powdered metal from looking at them (similar to what a connecting rod is made from) but I’m not 100% sure

Finally had time to fit mine up with lowranger96's kit. Finished painting them a few weeks ago but had some house projects to finish up. Kit worked great and they clear 03/04 cobras fine. Take caution on wheel weights though. Mine were pretty close. I don't think they'll clear directly in line with the caliper

Installed my Taurus 43mm calipers on my 8.8 and assembled my SN95 spindles with 03' Cobra rotors and my ATS calipers. Just awaiting the Lowranger96 bushings to do a final install. I'm running PFC Carbon Metallic pads if anyone's interested in the PN. I've attached a photo below!

Can anyone tell me what size master cylinder should be used with ATS fronts and Taurus 43's in the back?

Million dollar question right now.

Factory MC on the 96+ cars is 1 1/16" diameter. Unsure if there is anything larger available.

For fox and 94-95 cars with vacuum brakes, I believe the 94-95GT MC with 1 1/16" bore will do the trick. Has not been tested yet. If it isn't, there is a 1 1/8 MC from an 84-86SVO that could work, but it's an older MC with odd fitting sizes.

I am going to install lowrangers kit with the ats calipers, also the taurus calipers as well. Would it be unsafe to do this with the stock master cylinder? Is the worry that the stock mc doesnt apply enough pressure to brake properly? Or is it something minor like more pedal travel.

Bumping this to see if anyone has used the ATS front and rear 43mm kit on an IRS cobra and got it to work?

Working in terms of bolting up? Yes, the 43mm calipers do bolt to the IRS rear setup. I know of one person doing this setup.

Thanks. I am more concerned about the master cylinder being adequate for changes to both ends of the brakes.

Ah, in that case, I should let one of the folks here who have installed it and are driving the setup chime in on that.

I am doing a 99-04 hydroboost setup on my car with 04 cobra brakes so it will be some time before I can directly answer that.

Maximum motorsports does charge $15 to do a hydroboost calculation for brakes other than stock Mustang. Curious to what they would say if someone were to ask them to do this.

Technical Services

I was debating paying them the $15 to see what they say.

I'm running the ATS/43mm setup. Great performance, slightly more pedal travel. No regrets.

Hi everyone, I recently bought a set of ATS brembos, but I need the threaded insert/bushing, I checked with some company SSengineering something like that but they want more than what I paid for the calipers themselves, My question is, does anyone have the dimensions for these spacers so I can make them; I can still make them without the dimensions only it will just take me longer,. Thank
