Custom blower cams will get you what you want- have them spec'd with the highest LSA that's appropriate for your application. Overlap is what causes most of the lope. You find higher LSA with blower cams. If you're pressurizing a cylinder, the last thing you want is for that air volume to escape out the exhaust valve, right? So you have retention instead of reversion. Here's the problem- you want the exact opposite with N/A cams. Will you pick up power? Sure, more lift helps, but you're not getting the same powerband. Sound is secondary, so it'd be somewhat self-defeating. I had some custom Bullet blower cams for my 334 for supercharger/turbo use and they had very little lope at idle. You could tell it was cammed, but it was subtle. Ran like a friggin buzz-saw as soon as you hit 3k rpms. I have Bullet cams in my GT500 and the idle is "fun" but not obnoxious. If you want to hear obnoxious, you should hear the 428 at idle. The Lunati cam in that thing is disgustingly angry, shakes the car and the ground.
