Can any of you fellas tell me if the SRA pinion sets like the ones used in the 2011 GT's are the same as the ones used in the IRS ????
I have a chance to get a set of unused take-out 3.73's out of an '11 GT with an 8.8. Does anyone know if they will fit ??? I am getting ready to do a differential upgrade and would like to install the gears right away.

Thanks,
Jason

Yes all 8.8 gear sets are the same. Unless something has changed that I am unaware of.

This is true!

The axle gears in the diff however do have a different design between IRS and SRA so if you are also swapping diffs be aware of that.

If you use an SRA diff you may have trouble pulling out your axles because the inside surface of the SRA axle gears is flat(for removable C-clips) and they need to be tapered for the IRS axle spring clips to compress when being pulled out.

Using an IRS diff in an SRA isn't a problem, just the other way around.

This is assuming all the splines are the same.
