Are all years of rear gears interchangeable?

I bought a set of 3.31 gears out of a 2014 mustang and tried to install them into my 99 cobra with '00 solid axle swap. However, I can't get the gears to pattern correctly. I'm all the way down to NO pinion shim, and it is still needing to go back to get proper pattern.

Anyone know if there is a difference between the gears from 10-14? I've noticed on some of the vendor's websites, it lists gears separate from 86-09 and 10-14

I would normally say yes, but on the S197 forum I occasionally see issues with the pinion bearing. Something between the GT's and GT500's. I don't know if it's just the bearing itself or the gears.

I think the 500 just has a larger pinion bearing but the pinion itself is the same. I'm not 100% on that though...
