The road is rough, but it's still fun if there is not to much traffic.

Ya, I think they don't repave it because people would be cruising up and down it a lot more. The first time I was on the road was on my CBR1000RR and it was so rough it wasn't fun, but a car it's not as bad.
Maybe I have not been going fast enough at the right spots, but I have not had that problem. Bush Hwy and Barlet lake have some elevation changes. I scraped my long tube headers on my Trans Am quite a bit on a Barlet drive.
