Anyone work in the car rental business??

Hi guys/gals, i am stationed overseas and i want to come back to the states in the summer for like 3-4 weeks to visit family. Does anyone in the business(or anyone for that matter) have any tips to get the best rates for a 3-4 week car rental. Should i use a military discount or just use a website like orbitz. I know sometimes the military discount is not even close to the best rates. riow it is looking like about it is going to cost from $815-$1000 for a full size. i have to have 5 passenger seating.
