Anyone running e85 in their lightnings ???

local station just got e85 looking to transfer over to it soon.

pretty sure ill need 2 255's walbros and some 60 pound injectors.

list of mods on the truck are the std bolt ons like most mafia intake exhaust pulley.


i know you can make good safe power with boosted cars just havent seen people with lightnigns doing it yet. figuring the motors arnt fordged ..

Yea, E85 is going to give you a decent amount of power from the swap. But like you said, it might put you farther in the realm of blowing rods out. Its a double edged sword.

Stang, I'm running the corn fuel and the truck is simply awesome I picked up some good numbers on the dyno with the stuff, its definitely worth the swap. Have JJ at woodbine motorsports hook you up with the tune also, well worth it..... I will never go back to 91 or even 93 octane, not even for fuel mileage didn't buy the truck for fuel mileage ;-) I am running forged internals though, so my motor is not stock, but for stock use long as the tune is good and safe from a reputable lightning tuner such as JJ or some others, you should be good to go!
