Intersting that a Cummins product would feature a Ford engine. Then again, the Cummins 6.7 could be had in the F650 and F750s until recently too.

Cold start might be a pain, but once is spinning, it'll run untill its out of fuel.

My dad had a Ford Leyman diesel in his 44' Hardin sailboat. Never a single issue with that engine.

The 300 l6 is a gas motor. Looks like this one was converted to propane which is pretty easy to do.

It's one of the most durable gas engines Ford has ever produced. So smooth and a ton of torque. Great motor!

Here is one i just put into a pump station for a municipality. Kohler KD1000. 1000kw, 1600amps max, 277/480v, 3 phase. 3000 gallon sub base fuel tank. Radiator can pull 30,000cfm of air at full blast. V-12, twin turbocharged, 50psi of boost. Maximum horsepower is 1114hp @ 1800rpm. 70.9gph at 100% load. Just a monster of a generator.

Are you installing a fuel polisher for that size setup or are they using it enough that with turnover it isn’t needed?

I did a maintenance run on ours today and loaded it up to 80% and took some interface pics. I would take video but you wouldn’t be able to hear a thing, sounds like a locomotive outside and inside it’s just a deafening roar.

We can monitor/control everything from the touchpad which is pretty nice though with all the screens the data is overwhelming at first. Notice the fuel consumption in the 2nd to last pic...I burned over 50 gallons in that 30 minute test run which only 20 mins actually under load. Something like 24gph at the unloaded speed of 1800rpm.

Nope, just a massive water trap on the primary and another one on the secondary side. Generator is serviced twice a month, manually exercised for 8 hours once a month and then automatically exercised every 6 months.
