If I was a rich guy that could afford it, that price would tell me that the seller thinks I am a chump they can mark and take advantage of.
Oh I agree.

If I was stupid rich with a Nostalgia kick, I'd just buy a super clean car for $15-20k car and drive it.

I'm guessing that seller has the '93 Cobra and Cobra R confused, or is playing the long con for that perfect buyer.

I'd hate to own something like that as it's entire value is based on not being able to enjoy and drive it. Every mile you put on the car is knocking $50 off its value. Every part you replace, etc.

Eventually its only worth whatever the run of the mill 93 Cobra is worth. You basically burned up $70k for nothing.

Seller is not confused, he knows the difference.

got to start somewhere with a price, can always go down, but you can’t go up.

A 1990 vert with 16 miles on it sold for $82,500 at Barrett-Jackson. Given this and the 1993 Cobra R with 500 miles on it went for $132k, I'd say the guy is probably asking about the right price.
