Anyone installed a single din audio system and retained SYNC?

Hey guys..

I want to install a single din system in my car and would like to retain SYNC.

is this possible? Anyone did this?

My idea is to have Digital AC controls from metra or scosche kit on the buttom, single din in the middle and ipad permanently mounted on the top. Just trying to find what do i need to accomplish this.
I can fabricate some things, but as far as wiring goes i'm kind of a noob.

Also, the wiring to keep SYNC comes from PAC Audio.

look into the ADS Maestro RR module if you want to retain Sync and steering wheel controls

The ADS Maestro interface is much better than the Metra/Axxess stuff but I'm not sure there are any single din IDatalink compatable head units.
