i raced with some local stuff back in the mid 90's with everything from 1/10th scale...1/8th...Bolink Legends...some drag racing and everything else but im slowly getting back into it. Picked up a 2wd slash about a year and half ago, threw a bunch of chassis and suspension mods at it then its been sitting on the garage wall for 8 months. My lipo's went bad from sitting so gotta order more and im about to go brushless on it. The this thing pops up......

That is sick!

bigdave03svt I really thought I would hate it but the more I look at it and see it run I'm really digging it. Of course I'm going to wait and see what mods come out for it .....and of course it needs brushless power lol

Just picked up another Axial SMT-10 but this time a Grave Digger edition. Put some Jconcepts Tribute wheels on it with Jconcepts Golden Years tires in Gold Compound. The green beadlock rings are Crawford Performance Engineering beadlocks and Clark Planetary covers to round off the green look.

Added an Axial aluminum servo horn(servo is shit though so need to grab a Savox 1230) and the front sway bar kit. Still on the stock V2 electronics for now - brushed motor 12T 550 size and a 12T Dynamite ESC. Will add some Beef Tubes down the road to keep the axle housings from snapping. Brushless is a hit or miss on these, some blow the ring and pinions up and others never have an issue. So im on the fence about throwing too much power into it. On the 16 tooth pinion gear and the 12T motor it has some speed and isnt overpowered.

I started in 2001 with Kyosho nitro helicopters. Then Traxxas T-Maxx, 4-Tec.

Got the rock crawling bug after that. Ran local, state, and national 2.2 pro class comps. I still have 2 pro class rigs, not gaylers ( scalers) lol. But I have also run scale class, and sportsman. I find pro class tons more fun.

Also still have 2 drones, 2 VTA class onroad cars, and a Losi scte short course.truck.

Just recently learned about street eliminator class that is drawing me back to the hobby.

I can afford to be competitive with rc's. My budget does not allow me to even come close to 500hp in a real car.

I got back into it again at pandemic. I currently have a tekno sct410, traxxas rustler, associated t5m, losi mini t 2.0. The new losi mini t 2.0 is fun as hell its probably my favorite one.

Top to Bottom:
Miss Geico- 60mph
Zelos Twin- 86 mph
Spartan- 35 mph
Zonda- 90 mph
Fightercat- Not tested

I’ve since been outta the game but it was sure as hell fun and expensive at the same time to go fast. I didn’t really try with my V hulls, I have another that is not pictured, a Proboat Voracity E that I got up to 50 mph but really didn’t make an effort to get the best out of them. The Zonda did only 90 before I had to cut out due to running out of lake.

As the kids have gotten older I've been getting more into the hobby.

Converted the back part of my yard to makeshift ramps/crawling sections during the week when I don't have time to pack it all to the local tracks.

Currently have a UDR, Slash VXL, Rustler VXL, and 3 TRXs.
Still have the Losi Raptor, but it needs some repairs.
Oldest can drive the rustler pretty well on a 2S battery.
Youngest is still rocking a TRX sport.

Finally caved in to buying the UDR a month ago and it's amazing. Don't like taking apart 30 screws to get to the shocks but it's tits watching the suspension.

I bought a Traxxas TRX-4M a few months ago. I didnt even put three full battery packs through it so far, it collects dust. I was big into nitro R/C in the early 2000's but a buddy with into it with me. I may get into it a little if my daughter or nephew like it in years to come.

Back then you would of never convinced me electric would be superior to nitro. But that's the case now.

I also bought a flight simulator around 2005ish. That dream lasted 5 minutes. I dont have the patience to learn r/c helis.

I would like a drone with a nice camera but that is basically a novelty that I would only use a hand full of times.

My boss at work is super into them, has a garage full : cars, boats, planes, you name it. He’s got 2 of his up here at the body shop.

I got an Arrma Senton a month or so ago, and am starting to get hooked. Good for ripping around the shop after work or running the dogs around.

I’ll probably order a LED kit soon for it and start modding

Something from traxxas that is ready to run (comes with battery, remote, charger etc) if you want new.

Or, research and narrow it down to what you want and the price you want to spend with a little wiggle run. Then go on facebook market place. There are some insane deals there. Sometimes people just want to get out the hobby and they want their stuff gone for cheap. Last month when I researched on FB market place, a lot of stuff I was interested in came with hundreds of dollars worth or parts, batteries, chargers etc.
