Just seeing if this cured the issue. My 01 w/ 27000 miles has this issue and all the TSB says to do is replace the door chime switch on the ignition cylinder.
Anyone done this and did it solve the problem? Seems strange that the chime switch would cause the binding. Was it difficult to do? I am having an issue getting a sticker because my EVAP and Catalyst monitors still read not ready so I've been driving it hoping 1 of them reads ready so I can get my inspection sticker. I really don't want to disconnect the battery and have to start all over.
