What are you using for a forum PHPbb? Did it just start happening or is it a new Forum?

It's hosted by Yahoo. Trouble started about a year ago with spammers getting past the captcha and eventually getting out of hand to the point where we gave up. I can restore it to a clean state but the main thing is getting the captcha updated.
