I called the one in New Brunswick, NJ. Just like all the other shops I have called they wont talk money at all. I asked how much to take the whole things apart and rebuild..worse case and they wont give a price.
I guess there are many variables involved.
Unless I hear something really bad about this Aamco in particular Ill give them a shot. They said they would check it out for free. I was happy that they werent turned off by the fact that I race the car and the fact that I told them the problem only happens at high rpms. Other places obviously didnt even want to look at my car once I explained my problem. Other trans shops only wanted to work on street driven daily driver cars.
Maybe Ill try them before buying a completely new trans...which i guess isnt really new anyway..they are all rebuilt...remanufactured right?
