My KB-2.6 rubs on the hood just a tiny bit. You can see just a little paint missing just to the right of the fill plug. Insulation has been removed, so it is rubbing on the actual hood.
This may be what I need to look into. Unsure on the motor mounts, but it has a tubular K member with stock A arms. I did not realize there were spacer options. I'll need to see what (if any) spacers are there now. What motor mounts are you running? You can always install k member spacers to drop it a smidge.
So where would the spacers go? Between the 4 main bolts that connect the K to the main frame? Effectively spacing the K down?Depending on the K member it could set the engine a little higher than stock.
There's 8 bolts, but yes.So where would the spacers go? Between the 4 main bolts that connect the K to the main frame? Effectively spacing the K down?
Thanks for the link. I was just looking at LMR and they have a 1/2" set for $110, the UPR set is def more cost efficient. Even then $90 for 4 metal plates is wild. There's 8 bolts, but yes.

It would be pretty easy to make your own shims with 1/8 flat bar. You need to space the lower mounts by the firewall too. There's 8 bolts, but yes.

With a stock K-member mine cleared no problem, when I went with a UPR K-member, I had to space mine down 3/16" to clear. I made my own spacers and was able to reuse the stock hardware. My KB-2.6 rubs on the hood just a tiny bit. You can see just a little paint missing just to the right of the fill plug.
