Holy shit is that brutal. I mean beyond the fact he's literally in public saying we knew were doing a DCT from the beginning, and we knew were were doing a supercharged 5.2L from the beginning, I don't even know what else I can say. I guess he's a liar, and I'm a liar. Can we be done with this now? Please? The truth is, I can't even remember when that shit started. I was so invested on what was going on with Ford GT starting in 2013, I barely paid/pay attention to GT500. I'll say this; in the gestation period for the "idea" of this gen GT500 years and years ago, it was not this...but it also absolutely, 100% was not what DepWraith was being told it was either. Lotta ideas never become reality in the auto industry. This GT500 is very much a Raj and Dave car. Those dudes are in it to win it. Period. Yes, some planned bits went away, but it's a super expensive program (by the standard of the usual specialty Mustangs) that absolutely, 100% zero chance would have happened but for timing and the involvement of those two people. Dave left to direct unibody vehicle engineering long ago (and subsequently moved to yet another job) and Raj is long gone to MM. Make of that what you will.
