Anyone done a foglight swap?

Has anyone with a 99-00 L done the foglight swap mod? I want to purchase a set of 03-04 foglights but I heard that it is a complicated process to switch.

you either drill out the proper holes for the 01+ fogs in your bumper or get a 01+ bumper cover.

I have a 99 and bought these fog lights. They fit but the wiring (adapter) is different. I stripped the wires and used electrical tape. Nothing complicated.

how do they hold up with the heat of thebulbs. i think the 01-02 fogs were like this and had problems cracking.

I couldn't really tell you. I rarely turn on the fogs and when I do it's only for short periods of time.

I have those same lights on my 00' and I have the fog light mod so I can have the fogs come onwith the headlites in the automatic mode and I haven't had a single problem yet. They have pretty heavy duty glass lenses.

So they are definately worth it

I am still debating on doing it, I like those foglights alot better than the ones I have now that is for sure.

The glass covering is pretty thick and strong. I bought those for my Fox body so I hope they hold up...have not had a problem yet.
