I have about a dozen DeWalt batteries. Even a 60v for the chainsaw. They've been holding up for many many years of tough abuse between work and home projects.
I haven't had a DeWalt battery fail me in a few years now.
(Knocking on wood as I type this)
I've only retired my DeWalt drills over the years because of batteries slowly dying out. My current 20V battery drill, one battery has waaay better life than the other. Weird. Thinking about buying the 20V blower to get a fresh set of batteries as a bonus.

Never really taken advantage of Black Friday deals, but this year I saw that Fanatec has some pretty big discounts on a good portion of their products so I may pick up a few accessories with their V3 pedals, shifter setups, and maybe a new wheel.

What sims do you use?

I'm just playing on GT7 now but I'm waiting for the new Assetto Corsa to drop as I used to play on that with controller. I'm really into it, but I'm not as into it where I have enough time to get into the real sim racers like iRacing. AC will be the closest sim I'll be able to sink some time into.

The wheel setup changed everything though and I don't think I could ever go back to controller after this. I want to find a better seat also. I have to add pillows for support as the TR setup didn't come with any adjustability and the seat is super deep and not that supportive so I'd like to replace it with something made for vehicles and not a fake version of it.

I would strongly suggest jumping to iRacing sooner rather than later. AC is fine, but iRacing is truly that much better.

As far as the seat and equipment goes. I've upgraded mine over time and can say that now, it's incredibly life-like. It helps a ton on new tracks when I go in person. When I run a factory GT3 car on iRacing, I'm usually 2.5-3.5 seconds slower in real life.

I know, but that means I have to build a PC which I don't have at the moment. It's in my to-do list but I just haven't had the money to sink into a gaming PC, but I will eventually, and when I do I'll get on iRacing.

I have a long list of priority items and at the top of it is a house. So that pretty much means I splurge very little or very rarely on bigger items. After a house it's probably guns, then cars/motorcycles, and then gaming since I have a setup that I'm happy with at the moment, but I still want a PC regardless. A wife and family falls in somewhere in that whole thing, but ultimately that ****s up the entire list in reality so I've got to accomplish as much as possible before that happens lol.

Totally get it. A lot of even the small budget PCs are good enough to get rolling with it. A friend of mine spent like $450 on a laptop for iRacing.

As a disclaimer she ordered everything today so I can’t tell you much else. This is my wife’s project with my buddy so I’ll let you know if I like it if you want to wait.

I did order the paddle shifter kit today because today was the sale. The peddles will be on sale tomorrow with the other shifter kit so I'm going to order those as well.
