My son picked up a sweet 04 SVT Focus and it has tons of vibrations from the front passenger side, so we're thinking its that fluid filled passenger mount. However they are back ordered nationally. Everything I hear on other focus forums about non-OEM mounts is bad, does anyone have a good experience?
I'll actually be able to tell you in a few days. I'm also getting some inserts to add just in case the aftermarket one's suck. I can tell you Anchor absolutely suck. Tried those some years ago. Beyond soft and worse than the torn ones.
Haha, well I eventually bought an Anchor mount from Rock Auto for $35 and so far so good. Transformed the car, no more brutal vibration. The stock mount had Ford stamped so it must have been the original after 103k miles.
Also, Look at installing a performance rear/lower engine mount too... Will help "tighten" things up... CFM Performance Lower Engine Torque Mount for '00-11 Ford Focus
