Oof. Imagine your surprise when you die and the lights go out. All that worrying about what comes after was for naught, and you're just a cold body in a pine box in the dirt. Welcome to the afterlife, plebe. Also, I find it hilarious that everyone's go-to ninja move on here with me is to try and discredit my intelligence. It's always, "You're not as smart as you think you are". That's usually the argument an idiot makes when he's speaking to a doctor. Interestingly enough, I have 10 years worth of expensive Bible and Religious Education (formal) so I've been through the ringer. It's all a fairy tale. The great wall of china couldn't fill the void between the old and new testament with how different they are. I checked out after that decade and never looked back. Christianity/the bible has the least consistent message you could possible have as a religion. Jesus, by all intents and purposes, has the best message. But the Old T has some seriously ****ed up parts. Those can't just be "forgotten" in the message either. Not when you're holding up the words in your hand while singing hymns and kissing snakes
