What the hell? Did someone delete my funny comment about it not being a "bike"?
I'm just so edgy.

*Never mind. I just saw the message from the SVT Bureau of Community Censorship about using the asterisk to censor my own cuss-words.

Love the shelf! Is it a bitch to push them up onto it....? Good thing they don't weigh a lot!
Looks like you're figuring out how to fit 10lbs of shit in a 5 lbs bag! (What is the poster on the right hand side wall...? Vintage quadracer goodness?)

It would be a pain in the ass by hand, yes. I ended up anchoring a 2x6 to the studs in the wall behind the shelf. That way I could utilize a 110v winch to get the bikes up on top.

Works fantastic.

@SVT-BansheeMan any idea what a 4 mil drag banshee that needs new pistons is worth?

This was a brand new full build in 2020 that unfortunately sat outside for a few years leading to its current condition.

I think I see bigger carbs with billet bowls, SBIF shearers, aftermarket front suspension, arched swing arm, lock out clutch, lock out clutch cover.

Maybe over 2000ish depending on the buyer. It would be easier to clean it up and get it running. That's also assuming needs a new piston means the cylinders are fine. Stock cylinders are not too appealing even if it hasnt been bored much.

It may be easier to part it out. You may make more money that way too.

It's got nikasil'd cheetah cubs on it, 39 pwk's and shearer in frames, yes.

Some rust remover and scotch brite will bring back the pipes. Swing arm and a arms are supposedly clear coated, so hopefully they're just dirty.

Hell, the paddle tire set up is worth an easy $1k.

TBH, it would be a $8-10k bike running and cleaned up out here in SoCal.

I gotta keep grinding on him... he wants $4k

Oh I thought that was yours you were trying to sell. I'd gladly pay a lot than 4k for a running bike. I don't trust anyone who says it just needs this or that and I don't know the guy very well.

Yep exactly. I know my way around these motors enough to not worry about what all is damaged -- I just need to be sure it's priced accordingly.

Im sure it's a 80hp bike running. Gotta be wild!

Understood and I totally agree.

If he comes down a lot, and I do mean a lot, it would be contingent on him tearing down the entire engine in front of you. If it's what he says, deal. I assume it would have to be on the market for a good while before he would agree to that.

39's seem right for a 6/68. I run 39's on my 521 but it's a serval and I play around.

Banshee prices here are nuts.

FYI, real PWK carbs are finally back in vendors hands. There was a huge shortage. Make sure they are real keihin. There are post on Banshee the Bansheehq FB group that show real vs fake.

Well.. I ended up buying it like a dummy. Im a glutton for punishment I guess. Owner stated "it needs a top end".

Brought her home... and started taking it apart.

Half gallon of water poured out of the left side pipe indicating it sat outside in rain for God knows how long. SMH.

Left side of motor has BAD water intrusion, crank and piston is wasted.

Surprisingly the cylinder is in top notch condition -- good because a new cheetah cub 68mm cylinder is $1300 -- so im good there.

I'll buy a crank and 2 pistons and slap her back together. SHouldnt cost me more than $750 or so to get her running...

@05satinGT you need another one!

^^^Engine builder used silicon to seal cylinder base to the case which I thought was strange. No gasket.

Was a PITA to separate. Had to use heat.
