Some of the comments in this thread are interesting, given the fact that none of us knew him as a person outside of what he was willing to show us via TV shows and books he wrote. That being said, any one who has followed him over the years would know that he had a troubled past, various addictions, bouts of depression, numerous marital issues, etc. This is all evidenced in his own words from his shows and books. At the end of the day, he was one of the most outspoken, opinionated, no nonsense, no BS individuals out there who; to many came off aggorgant. To me, he was a man who didnt care what people thought of him or if he was liked, etc and lived his life the way he saw fit. Overall, he seemed like a down to earth realist, who got big doing something he loved and fought for his entire life. At the end of it all, he went out the way he wanted to, and regardless of our opinions on him as a person, his life/work, he has changed the lives of many individuals by simply being himself to the fullest. He will be missed, and the industry will forever be changed because he was involved it, and that is something no one can take away. Just my $0.02.
