Again apologies for not keeping everyone up to speed, well there has not been much happening to produce much speed lately. Heath issues , Dr appointments cataract surgery, and generally feeling like crap have reduced car progress to minimal most days. When I last left you, I was swapping out the Gt dash harness for the cobra one I have. Turns out while not too difficult for those that don’t have heath problems it’s easily a one day job. Those of us wth a few extra challenges in your life it can take longer. The Bullitt harness is out, the Cobra harness is 80% in, just need out adjust and straighten things out. I know it’s not seen unless you are on the floor cursing your self for adding too many Tiewraos. But my OCD says the hidden stuff has to look good too! I’ll get you some pics soon, I keep forgetting to take them but sure appreciate the one I have taken. Great forms of reference there are a coulple of difference’s in between the 2 yours I am working on amalgaminh. One is the Bullitt has 3 bigger grounds that bolt to the dah frame, the Cobra only had 2. I will cash this one down in the Bullit harn as, it may be redundant but I want to confirm that. A man can never have too many grounds!

Been picking away at changing over the dash Wiring harness, discovered that PO put a wire tap in close to the under dash fuse panel. I hate those things, whoever took the harness out just chopped the wire and left it bare. I chopped it out and repaired the wire with a non insulated butt splice and some heat shrink. I have no idea what it was for but I know the factory doesn’t use them so off it goes to garbage can.

Finally after too many dr appointments and other real life commitments I have the wiring harness back in the dash.it looked a lot scarier than it was.
Going to try to fit my Speed hut gauges tomorrow then the dah will be ready to install still need to change to heater core and ac evaporator, then I get to install the dash back in

Ok been busy on the dash the last couple of dsys , had to supervise a couple of land scrapers working on our back yard and tend to some house chores and Dr appointments. Along with real life stuff like grocery shopping and cooking, so behind the curve again. This took longer that I expected (usually is by by??) got the gauges installed and wired to the dash panel. Discovered the 2 switches I installed by the steering column should have been over a 1/4 inch or so, looked like I have some clearancing to do. I will have to dig a little for the correct wires to power the dash lights and turn signals ect. I have IMG_6657.jpeg the Bullitt and Cobre wiring manuals, I should have it covered. Now I have some good news, managed to score some amber tails that I found from a seller on here. Hopefully they arrrive soon, I have been looking for reasonable priced set of amber tails for for awhile now,, I think I scored on these, hoping to see than soon, I will tidy up the wiring behind the dash as the dash is installed and secured Leaving enough wire to access all components behind it as possible, just in case. One more thing, not say others don’t but I only update as I work one the car, If I don’t I get the order I do things missed up

Nice work. Slow and steady.

Where are you located, Speedo is km/h or is that just the digital spot at the bottom?

Just to prove I haven’t been completely neglecting the car here is a pic that I ran for the grounds for the dash lights and O2 widebands, drilled and tapped this dash bracket to 6mm, attached the grounds, I suspect I may want to add another's ground it too it yet to so the install it finished yet when it’s ready to go I willadd dielectric grease and some lock tote tight. I couldn’t get Pico ring terminals so I had to use some cheap chineseium ones that I had kicking around. They are well crimped and heat shrunk with good double wall heat shrink. Being inside the car I am anticipating no issues with corrosion. Need to sort out the rest of the dash wiring while I am in the mood.

Ok peeps, I admit to being a slack ass as far as the build goes. Apologies to anyone expecting this to move along quickly, sorry, just not going to happen. I do have a couple of decent excuses though. One, wife and I went on a cruise to Panama for 3 weeks. Two, due to my cancer and meds that go along with it, I have been feeling like crap lately. I have decided that I need to push through that crap and get moving on this thing even if it’s only an hour a day.
What I have accomplished in recent history is getting the dash rewired with the Terminator harness, wiring in the Speed Hut gauges and getting the wideband wiring run through the dash. The other thing I finally sorted out was my front brake hoses. The ones that came with the Wilwood brakes are 16” long, and despite try several different fittings I was never happy with the way they were in the car. I finally got pissed off enough and bought some 13” hoses from Wilwood and just like magic they fit just like they should. In the back of my head I knew I should have done that in the beginning but was just too damn stubborn to admit that Wilwood supplied hoses weren’t going to work the way I wanted. I’ll get a couple of pics up in the next couple of days. It isn’t much progress but it is some.

As promised a few pics nothing earth shattering though.

I have, taped, loomed or some how other wise protected pretty much every thing behind that dash. I am hoping not to see much of it again. Also praying for no clouds of some one I get the power hooked back up. Just bunch of ty wrappinge to do then the dash is ready to go back in. The pic with the gauge console is an older pic, I will leave that out until the dash is back in for any final adjustments,I am going to Put in the clutch and throttle cables before I put the dash in, it’s gotta be easier. also need to run the1/0 from the trunk and change the heater core and A/C condenser before the dash goes in. I hope it goes smoother than the dash work did. That was a little more complicated that I was expecting, the Speedhut gauges accounted for a lot of time spent, I still need a stereo head, not sure what I want, I know I want to be able to play MP3’s and must have CarPlay. Back up camera would be nice but not necessary
. Looking for decent sound but I don’t need a gazillion amps, already deaf enough. Any suggestions the works well, guessing 500. Budget for the head unit, of course cheaper is better but I don’t want to compromise performance over budget.

This process takes more than I figured, Ordered some more split loom tonight, 100 feet each of 1/4, 1/2 and 3/4 , I suspect I will need to order bigger stuff when I get back to the engine room.

Keep up the good work. You have way more patience than I would to complete this build.

Praying for you to brother.

Thank you, I was a tech or service manager all my working life pretty much, I am retired now and have plenty of time on my hands. Not working at a regular job pace on this one, only when I want to and feel like it. I am in no rush. I want to keep it as a good project and not be an albatross around my neck.

Copied Thai from another thread but wanted to get my question covered.

Can I shorten the 10’ cable from the module to the O’2 sensor? Mine seems to be extra long and there is no easy wayi store that cable with out it interferring with something. I would love to be able to shorten it with without having to **** if any resistance issues built into the cable. I would suspect none but one would like etc be sure

Hope someone can chime in with a definitive answer, tried multiple ways but not satisfied with what I see happening
