Hey everyone. So I did some more homework and read many threads over and over again and have come up with 2 different plans of attack depending on the donor year. If the donor that I get is a 2010, I will be leaving all of my factory wiring and ecu in place and figure out what systems are not needed from the donor vehicle for the engine and trans to run. I will have those shut off if I can find someone that can do it for me. I had seen some people suggest someone but I couldn't find any info on them. This would allow me to keep things more factory as well as the use of my current cluster. Now if the donor is a 2011-12, I'll just retrofit everything over from the donor to my car. No big deal as I can use my factory switches and just either depin or splice the donor vehicle wiring to adapt to my switches. I would also retrofit the radio, a.c. controls, cluster and everything else I might want into my dash. Obviously this plan will take a little longer but in the long run would be ok. Now that I've got more of an attack plan I will go ahead and start getting my car prepped for the ordeal. Sadly I have to buy more parts than what's needed beings that my car is a 2003 and the way the current front subframe is. If I was starting with a 2006 this wouldn't have been an issue because the subframe is set up closer to the donors due to how it allows the exhaust to run. I'll probably take this year to gather all the parts needed including the donor and start labeling everything. I'm hoping that if I do this first, I shouldn't have too much down time between the swap and start-up/1st drive. I know everyone says that but I'm looking to do a very smooth transition in the long run. I can always take more time finalizing the switches and the such.
