Amsoil Signature Series lubricant and EaO oil filters were ran to 25K miles for the test. Since the trucks were only stopped to change the oil, the oil was in normal service to achieve this. I suggest that Signature be used for 15K miles or one year, which ever occur first, as I am conservative with the severe service schedule. In most cases, vehicles are in stop and go traffic, not on the interstate all year. However, for those who are driving long distances to work on the interstate daily, you can achieve 25K miles before the 1 year mark. The testing facility likely changed Motorcraft every 10K miles on the other truck, keeping manufacturers recommendations. It would not have been a fair test expecting an inferior formulation to match Signatures abilities. Amsoil had to be changed 4 times to achieve 100K miles, while Motorcraft would require 10 changes. In the real world, using Amsoil's severe service schedule, it would require 7 changes. This closes the gap.
