Yes it does neck down to go over the exhaust.

Will these work on a 2012?

I am not sure. there was a thread in the GT500 section and a gentlemen said it does work, he called american racing and they told him it will fit. But I personally don't know.

American racing said the headers would fit but the x pipe would not fit a 2012. I am having a set of headers installed today that came off a 2010. I'll let you guys know if there were any problems. Jason
