Aluminum or Cast Iron Block

Just wondering if the block in the Mach 1 is cast iron or aluminum?

Does it also have forged internals?

Thanks for the info. I read about the crank difference on Ford's web page - not sure why the did cast for autos and forged for 5-speed. The Mustang brochure I picked up had little detail on the engine composition.

Mach 1 looks great and I see where guys are putting down some good numbers. I've seen some comments in this forum about people wanting to put superchargers on the Mach. Seems dangerous to me with the Mach's higher compression ratio. I have an '03 Cobra but admit I like the idea of a higher compression normally aspirated powerplant as well.

The stock rev-limiter is set much higher on the 5spd than the Auto, thats why.
