I just received my new billet steel flywheel and compared to my stock aluminum one it’s 14 pounds heavier. Quite a difference. I’m thinking of returning it for another aluminum one lol. Or do you think I’ll be happy with this one? What’s some opinions on this. I don’t race or anything like that. I’m around 650 hp with 26 spline / single disk RAM clutch . Thanks

Heavy is good for a street car. Aluminum is good for a performance car.

Except you forget the stock terminator flywheel is aluminum. The OP would be taking a step in the wrong direction.

Additionally this old saying applies more to engines that lack large amounts of low end torque which is not a terminator.

Will it rob me of any power?

Like I stated above the stock flywheel is aluminum by McLeod. They will still replace the friction disc if you send it to them. Much cheaper than a new piece BTW.

Yes it will rob you of power. How much and how noticeable it will be I am not sure. But again the stock piece is aluminum and works very well. Why change it?

The steel flywheel will give you a harder launch off the line whereas the aluminum one will be a little softer. As far as power loss with the levels you are at I highly doubt you will notice it.
