FRPP has just dropped pricing on the Aluminator short blocks allowing us to get down to $3200.00 shipped on these beautifully built engines.

This pricing is good on all FRPP Aluminator short blocks.

    Part numbers,

    M-6009-A46SC
    M-6009-A46SCB
    M-6009-A46NA
    M-6009-A463SC

FRPP does a spectacular job on these with Forged Terminator cranks, Manley H-beam rods and Mahle pistons in an aluminum block.

Links below are to the FRPP pages with some more details on each short block.

Prices will only change if my cost from FRPP changes

As always we will go out of our way to match or beat ANYONES advertised price on these parts so if you find a better price try us anyways.

Sorry, nothing is 100% guaranteed with the backordered parts. As of right now, it does look very promising they will be available.

Give us a call before 5pm est (when FRPP closes) and we can get you the most current status on these:thumbsup:

The SC low compression version for sure. Its basically a 03-04 Cobra short block with better pistons(from my understanding) and an aluminum block. I've also read that these short blocks use GT 500/FGT rod bolts. The aluminators seem to be a very stout set up.

The question I have is is the only difference between the n/a and the sc versions the pistons? Everything else is identical? How much boost/rwhp can the n/a version handle?

From what FRPP tells us, these are capable of somewhere around 700+ hp. These use the FRPP forged crank, 03-04 Manley rods, and Mahle pistons. As for boost on a NA version, its already a 10 to 1 motor, so you would want to keep the boost fairly low

Is this pricing still good? Any idea what the expected cr of the sc version would be with 2v heads?

It's a shame that they raised the prices on these. I was planning on going aluminator when I needed a shortblock for my gt, but now mmr has a new shortblock out called the mod 750 with some of the same features, minus the aluminum block(that is an option) for under 3k. Frpp should price their stuff a little more competitively for large items like these.

I'm with you on that one! They actually lowered the price last spring, and we were selling quite a few in the busy spring & summer months.
With the price increase, they making the other guys look more appealing

However, these are still a great motor at a reasonable price. Keep in mind the Aluminators are new, not rebuilt. We have had great luck with the ones we have sold so far.

The block is based off a slightly modified 05-up Mustang block (very strong). These also have the same forged Manley rods and crank found in the 03/04 Cobra, and Mahle pistons. Most people know the 03/04 Cobra stuff will take the abuse and then some when properly tuned.

Interesting to know (about the block, that is). Saw the beginning of the Ford casting number on one that started with "3L.." - figured that might be 3L2Z-6010-AA - the Mach 1 block from '03. The '05 casting went to 8R3Z-6010-A and definitely jumped in price! Sure would like to figure that out for sure before the bare block is completely discontinued from FRPP!

Actually, the bare block has been discontined from FRPP:nonono:, but the
    8R3Z-6010-A still available from Ford.
