So I found a cheaper and more readily available alternative to the Metco accessory drive pulley set (6-rib interior belt assembly) shown here for $300 ==> https://www.metcomotorsports.com/proddetail.asp?prod=MCI-AD
Company called Silver Horse Racing makes a oddly close idler set for the 2V GT boys shown here for $165 ==> https://silverhorseracing.com/.../shr-pulley-kit-1999.../
The SHR kit comes with (1) 76mm smooth, (1) 82.5mm grooved and (1) 90mm smooth pulleys. In order for this to work on the Cobra, you will need to call and request (2) 82.5mm grooved and (1) 90mm smooth pulley.
So the difference here is the stock grooved idlers on the cobra are 76mm versus a GT's 82.5mm so this will not be a direct swap. You will need to buy a longer belt than the 96" stock length. I used a 97" belt Gates part no. GAT K060970. You might be able to use the 96.5" GAT K060965 but cannot confirm.
I have done this 'mod' and can confirm everything fits with no interference. I have driven over 100 miles and even put it on the dyno for 2 pulls! For half the cost of Metco (and I wanted to swap out my oem stock belt anyways), this was a no brainer to give it a try and I'm happy with the results.
