AirBag light staying on?

it happens every couple of months...this is the second time...it will flash while im driving and then it will stay on. it started again 3 days ago...
what signal is it giving.

Get the code read, it should tell you. I'm guessing that there is a wire in the steering column that's getting pinched or is loose.
