Air Bag Removal !!

Before I kill myself.

I was reading the Ford manual about resetting the clock spring. In order to remove the airbag they have a special tool that goes in the connector. I don't have it. I'm seriously thinking about buying it.

Can I remove the airbag and skip this step. I'm just planning on taking the battery connections off for 1 minute and going ahead.

You can remove the airbag without the tool. Just disconnect the battery and give it at least 10 minutes before fiddling with it.
