Again another gear question/opinion

What's your opinion on what gear would suit me better?
pump gas tune 701 hp and weight of approx. 3300lbs street/strip car
I will have a race fuel tune w/ 2 step in by the summer for the sparatic use

Im thinking I want 3.27's but unsure how it will be off the line w/ a 26" slick

3.73 are in now and I can't even hook on the dyno (street tires)
Im just debating if 3.55's will make little if any difference

I am going through the same thing you are, If you aren't running an auto the 3.27's I don't think will do you justice. I would ditch the 26'' tires and move to a taller tire. I'm making right about what you are and am going with a 28'' slick with 3.55's. I'm sure alot of the guys here will agree.

try 3.31 gear with a 28" tire or the 3.27 with a 28" tire.

I figured the 3.27's would allow me to hold each gear a tad longer being I'm keeping the 6spd for awhile.
Tires are an easy switch so I can try both
Anyone else have opinions?
