Aftermarket wheel size

quick question. Will going from a 17 inch wheel to an 18 inch wheel affect performance negatively. Looking to go 10.5 wide currently have a 9x17 on all four corners.

Anything wider than 9 up front and bigger than a 275 will cause issues. 10.5 x17 and 315s are common and you just should use a rounded bolt or thin head bolt on one of the IRS mounting points to keep it from rubbing the sidewall. I am not sure if a 10.5 x 18 will be any different than a 17

Yes, wheel size and wheel weight do. But the pro’s (ascetics) to many out way the cons. I personally think a 18 inch wheel looks the best on new edges. Weight reduction in other areas help to offset the weight of the wheels even though rotational weight is the worst. That’s a huge argument for getting more expensive light weight wheels.
