Are aftermarket charge pipes worth it on the 6.7? I think the pipe between the turbo and intercooler is starting to leak. I can hear a whooshing sound when it makes over 20psi. A quick look under the hood and that pipe just felt loose. The couplers were soft and it had some play on the turbo side. I can get a replacement from Tasca, but if an aftermarket pipe is worth it I'll go that route.

I circled the pipe in the pic that I'm talking about.

I ended up ordering a set from Pusher Intakes. Their pipe from the turbo to intercooler is one piece. I'll replace the other pipe since I'll be there.

To close things out....

I'm pretty sure I had a leak at the clamp between the intercooler coupler and pipe going to the turbo. I sent a pic to my buddy and apparently he's seen those clamps come apart. Installing the new Pusher pipes wasn't bad. Just make sure to use plenty of silicone lube like the install video suggests.

Apparently it was worse than I thought as the truck feels normal again at part throttle. And there's no more whooshing sound at full boost. I'm looking forward to towing my Can Am over the mountain again.

And it's time to start looking into catch cans. I found oil in the pipes when I took them off. Which is odd since it's never low whenever I check the oil.
