I was thinking of getting AFR heads later down the line with a cam and trick flow intake. I know that the AFR 225 flow a lot more than the 165, but would it be worth the money to get the 225's?

If you plan on doing a lot of street driving and limited track action, I would go with the 185s I have seen a lot of good numbers out of those heads and they can excel at the track also. The 225s are a deep breathing set of heads and you would probably need a steep set of gears, and a stout cam to complement them. Hope this helps you a little.

If it's gonna be mostly street driven, I would go for the AFR 165's in favor of the 185, let alone the 225's.

165's are fine for the street. WIth the 185's you have to notch your pistons. the 165's ported will get you into the 11's NA if you have a good enough combo.

So if i was to go with the 185's i would have to buy new pistons or get the ones i have machined? What is a good intake to run with the AFR's or does it not matter... Or should i just consider running the Trick flow twisted wedge heads with trick flow intake? Thanks boys:beer:
