When she was a kitten I'd smack and bite her back (not hard, just enough to show Alpha status). She has a very strong personality, but MOSTLY just growls and hisses. So far she's never bit a vet or a tech, but she did nip at a couple friends recently. Not sure if it's the new location, or they spooked her, or what. OR she's just a bitch. Nico, I have literally never heard hiss, or really ever growl. He barely even cries if you accidentally step on him (and he's alllllways getting underfoot, silly boy). When he got his booster shots last week, he didn't even blink. Never seen a more chill cat in my life. Cleo is very very shy, but I have a feeling the toddler at the house she came from yanked her tail one too many times, and she was declawed as well. That really screws with their heads. </p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p>If you don't have one, and don't need to get one young like I did, there are many rescue groups you can source an unwanted Bengal from. Check Petfinder.com or FB for rescue organizations. Many people get these cats thinking well, they're cats, but expensive and pretty. But they don't always get along with other cats or kids, and get tossed out. I love Maine Coons, would like to have one, but I think I'm good on animals for now. Although I plan on getting a bird in the next two years, but that's a whole other story.</p></blockquote><p></p>
