Waking up to this was unreal, turned off the alarm on my phone then read the news. I thought it I was still asleep at first, it's that terrible.
Supposedly the shooter had 10+ rifles in the room.

Most weapons are easily modified to be auto. Really illegal, and toll road to prison though.
Legal ownership of full auto weapons is extremely expensive and for that reason basically illegal.
