about horsepower

i was wondering why the '93 model mustang 5.0 like mine was only rated at 205 horsepower stock when the years before like the '92 has 225 horsepower stock. i heard it was because Ford ran the car with the a/c on so it made a difference then i also heard that its the pistons in the car that Ford used that made the car lose horsepower....anyone know?

I heard that Ford changed the way they rated horsepower somehow. I don't know all the specifics but I think it has a lot to do with that. Maybe someone else can elaborate more on that.:beer:

the previous years had forged pistons instead of cast and also the heads are supossed to be diffrent....Im not positive about the heads tho. For sure the pistons are diffrent.
