Pretty cool, though I bet it's not too comfortable. Good charity too.

DERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- A California man was in Dauphin County on Tuesday, ready to kick off a 9,000-mile drive to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House in Derry Township.

Dave Schaub arrived Tuesday from his home in San Francisco bay area to start getting ready for his big trip.

His challenge involves driving a 1932 Ford Roadster.

"Forty-Nine states in seven days -- yeah, I know everybody thinks I'm crazy," Schaub said. "I didn't make it the first time. I know I can do it again.”

Schaub will begin on the Sept. 10 and end seven days later in Alaska.

He had previously attempted a similar fund-raising trip.

He hopes to raise $150,000 and said every penny will go to the Ronald McDonald House.

The cost of the trip, he said, is his contribution.

I wish there were more details on the car.
Original and stock?
Or modern engine, AC, and brakes?
It makes a huge difference.
