awesome job, I hope to do this same conversion down the road maybe next year except I think I am gonna either stroke the teksid or big bore it, the Fiance gave me the green light to do what I want as long as I promise to drive it lol!

But you did a great job

Great thread with good info! There's no question I will drop in a termi motor when my 98 needs a new powerplant. Keep an eye out for my conversion thread as I may need to pick some brains.

do you have any pics of how you mounted your heat exchanger ? mine is way low in the front bumper and scrapes on everything !

I kinda ghetto rigged it. i drilled 4 holes in the bumper support. I ran a nut down on a long deal of "thread-all" then welded it on for the correct length. Pushed it though the top so they just kinda hung down. Then made two brackets to fit under the exchanger and then just ran two more nuts holding the brackets up against the exchanger. I'll try to find the pics I took.

That sounds similar to what I did. I got two straps, bent them into brackets, drilled a hole in the bumper and put a nut and bolt on each bracket to bumper and a nut and bolt holding the two brackets together. I used some old radiator hose as "isolator" to give it a little cushion.

Using a "knock off" Laser Red/Redfire Duplicolor paint for the plug covers.

What color did you go with?
Toreador Red is a pretty close match. it's a Ford color too.
There's also a "cherry pearl" color made by Nissan that is close too.

Bought it back on Sunday. Really happy to have it back. Have some big plans for it. Will update this as I go.
