This is going to seem stupid to just about everybody, but I'm confused about this collar inbetween the MAF and the air filter as it has a gap in it (that looks as if it's meant to be there) but its a wide open gap in the collar which makes 0 sense considering the fact that everything else on the intake is meant to be air tight.
Right here you cannot see the gap as it is turned to the side but I can spin the collar freely, making the gap anywhere if need be
Here as you can see the gap is in the top left portion of the collar, I am so confused as to why this is here. Even though this is probably the 'noobiest' question on these forums, some help would be greatly appreciated. If anyones confused as to what I am asking please tell me, thanks.
