97 sho running hot!!!!

i put a new radiator in my 97 sho and now it runs hot if i get on it you can watch the temp gauge go up.. but under normal driving it seems to run in the middle on the gauge for hours it seems that i have an air pocket in the cooling sys of am i just crazy ...i had a chevy caviler z-24 that did the same thing and took it to a machanic and all he did was add coolant to it through a bleed off valve on the top of the motor but this sho dont have one and it never had run hot before the new radiator was installed this car only has 66,000 miles on it and all the service has been done on it as needed
