Right around this time I ended up losing my job conveniently two weeks after I bought another truck and had the motor in my jeep drop a piston and take out the block. This put a pretty big damper on the mustang project. Truck in question 2001 7.3l with 140k. I ended up finding another job about a month later, around the same time the transmission in the truck went out, FML. For those keeping track my jeeps motor blew up, I lost my job and the trans in my truck took a shit all within 3 months. Also had a my childhood neighbor and best friend unexpectedly pass away during that time so it was a pretty rough stretch. But at this point the car was driveable. It had the blower mocked up and had the 8 rib pullies all swapped over with modified cooling system. I bought a cheap 6 rib belt and ran the car with the modified cooling system, 8 rib setup and 6 rib belt just to make sure the cooling system and pullies would all work correctly. I ran into two issues with the setup. The overdrive damper and stock water pump pulley would build a little pressure in the system and the used a/c clutch I got from the junkyard was slipping. The pressurized cooling system ended up blowing one of the factory hoses I reused but I was able to cut it shorter on the side of the road and make it home. Turned out I had the thermostat in backwards I just put off the ac issue and didn't use the ac the rest of the year. The winter I was mocking up the blower I also had to rebuild the motor in my jeep I blew up. It was so damn cold the water from the block was refreezing on the concrete floor. I told myself I was finishing the garage before the next winter. So the mustang didn't get touched for the remainder of the driving season. I decided to go full in on redoing the garage to make it more enjoyable to be in since I spend a ton of time in there. What it looked like before, remembered to take a before picture while starting the insulation. What I ended up with. Fully drywalled, insulated, heated garage with led lighting, new workbench and dedicated sub panel for welders, heaters and new outlets.
