What is the tow capacity of a mid to late 90's model F150? What engine was in them? Was it the 302?

You could get the 302 up until 2006 I believe. The rating of the 302 was only like 185 hp, the same as the previous edition, but they ran much stronger than the older models. My 94 would flat out bury my 88 (similarly equipped). The 351 may have been available in the extended cab model? (need to confirm that). From 97 on up you had the 4.6 and 5.4 liter. In 99the 5.4 had a hp jump from 235 to 260.

Here is a link for the "newer" models (SOHC)

The 302 should do at least 7500lbs.

no 302 was only till 96 that was the last year of it. You can have the 300 I6 or a 302 or a 351 (not 100% on if you can get the 351 in f150s or if you had to get f250 for that).
