Problem too is that Ford will have a hard time pulling away its devoted F150 or F-Series buyers to move over to a Ranger. F Series sales in 2017 were up 9% at almost 900,000 sold and 41 straight years as sales leader. I have owned 2 Ford Rangers and 5 F Series trucks in the past 30 years. I loved my Rangers but I am pretty much an F Series truck guy. I have been shopping new 2018 F150's for a few weeks now and can buy a really nice SuperCrew XLT 4x4 2.7 Eco10 speed auto pretty loaded up for under 40K. I am going to wait for the Ranger to come out and then decide. If Ford gets too close with its prices on the Ranger to the F150 it will make it harder for them to sell the Ranger. I would do either one because I like both trucks but the price and value has to be there. I found this story today about when the Ranger was going out in 2011 and it was good reading. I wonder if Katie will be buying a new Ranger....lol. I might be. https://cars.usnews.com/cars-trucks/best-cars-blog/2011/06/why-ford-is-discontinuing-the-ranger
