Hey guys i wanted to give you guys an update on Al Davis's Car

For you guys that dont know who Al is here is a picture of his car

We Had been doing some testing back in the summer trying to get this car ready for 5.0 King of the street but couldnt make it do to a broken trans the day before we were do to leave.

Most of our testing over the summer months had been on a set of 20 inch vossen CV7s and NT05R drag radials. We manged to go 10.0 @ 144 of the 20s

This weekend was our 1st chance to run on some good tires. So as you can see from the time slip it was getting down. on the good tire

The Details of the car are.

JPC Turbo Kit with standard Turbo 76/75 Billet Wheel
Circle D 3B converter
RGR Engine with regrind cams
Stock 6r80 with upgraded clutches
E85 Fuel
ID1300s
JPC 2400 Fuel System
Race Weight was 3915
M/T 275 Pro Tire
Full BMR Suspension
3.15 Rear Gear

As you can tell the 60 foot is a bit lazy Al is still getting used to the 2 step. He was not able to Foot brake the car and get all the way on the 2 step its going to take some practice for him. So moral of the story is he left the line with about 1 PSI of boost this car should go 9.Teens once we get that 60 down.

Just want to Give a Big Congrats to Al and say this turbo is rocking. I cant wait to see what we can get out of it in the next week or 2

no this car as always been an auto

Its got every option under the sun. Glass roof, Back up camera and heated seats lol

Yes we made that pass 1st round of eliminations

2nd round he tried going in deep since we were racing an 8.80 car and he redlit

With the 3b I can foot brake to about 3200-3400 but i have had alot of practice with this car. Al is still getting situated in the car.

Car locks up fine in High Gear. Shifts are perfect

its about 400 looser then a 2 b

its going to take practice but you should get to 2800 on a warm trans

its tricky and will take seat time but its doable

What would happen if u stall up 2nd gear and go....i accident ally. Forgot to put in drive....launched 2nd from idle and got a 1.64 60ft on 18 rims nt05r is that bad for trans Eric

You are probably thinking of my Turbo Boss 302 with the T 56 Magnum that JPC did. We had it out at the event as well, but were having issues.


Big Congrats to my buddy Al for rocking his new PB! Can't wait to see it go an 8.99 this weekend at Ford Fever! :burnout:

you really need to jam the brakes HARD and roll into the gas untill you hear the 2 step starting to pop and then just nail it
