Just bought my 8# lower and tune from a very well known reputable shop. Something I’m questioning is whether I should be running a MAF extender or an aftermarket MAF. They never mentioned it. I’m not sure where the limit is on pegging the stock one. Most of the information I’m finding is with Lightning’s using the Lightning upper pulley.

I have two BA2800s laying around so if it’s close it’s going on the truck, just have to contact the tuner...

I run my Harley with an 8lb lower and stock uppper with a ba2600. I didn’t want to risk pegging the stock maf.

late to the post, but this forum is a bit slow on the HD side anyway lol my 03 HD has an 8 lower & stock HD upper. It does have an SCT MAF (2400 or 2600, I forget which). Came on it when I got the truck, but it seems on these trucks, a 6 lb'er can be 50/50 if it's needed or not, an 8 lb'er it's definitely recommended. May be okay with out it, but there's not a lot of margin for safety factor.
