Heard a ting the lens fell off my passenger side fog light it did not break. I took the light assembly out and lined the lens with the tabs and it will not stay on. Am I missing something?

This happened to me once. Years ago. I got some clear silicone adhesive caulk, cleaned up around the rim of the glass and edge of the foglight where the lens meets, applied a bead of the silicone and then attached the lens and held it in place with some masking tape. The next day I removed the tape and the lens has stayed put ever since. As a matter of fact I still have it.
