Technically it shouldnt matter which side they go on, just make sure the arrows point towards the respective wheels. The bearing races are precision made pieces and nobody really checks the bore when putting in new bearings, thats why I would say it doesnt matter. If you have a snap gauge you could check the housing bores to see if there is a difference, try them on both sides and make a determination using common sense. I usually punch a dot on one and two dots on the other with corresponding dots on the housing before removal. Too easy to mix em up otherwise, I also ziptie the shims together if I am putting it back together with the same gears. Good Luck!
